trigger external Fun when xmHttp.send is invoked

67 New Member
Hi,
Can we trigger an external function in Ajax when the xmlhttp.send method is invoked.

I need the control to pass to the external fun and then the execution of the xmlHttp.send

Thanks in advance for your reply.

There is a set of code for Ajax req and response. I need to trigger a function when xmlHttp.send is invoked. this is to be done without editing the ajax set of code.

..I dont have the code Bcoz im trying onit no ideas yet.

Thanks inadvance for your reply.

i cannot see the real problem ... when sending your request ... simply call the function you want? somwhere you call something to send the request ... why don't call the function you want here?

of course you may also extend the ajax-request-handling with a callback that you pass to the request-obj and that is called when the request is sent ... for that you have to adapt the code that you called 'set of code for Ajax req and response' ...

kind regards
