Sending data from Child Window To Parent Window

P: 1
I have a simple script which has worked flawlessly for years - it copies a bit of data from a child window down into a form field in the parent window that opened the child.

But now in Firefox 2.0 it does not work.

Parent window: user clicks on button or link to open a child window.

Child Window: child opens and shows a browse file field. Upon submit, child window refreshes and actually loads a second .asp page in the child. This second .asp file loaded into the child is where the file name that was just uploaded is retrieved from the upload stream. In the past I used this syntax

<script language="javascript">
parent.opener.document.form1.nlc_img.value='<%=.as p file name retrieved goes here%>';
</script>

The result of this script, the file name is copied into a form field in the parent window automatically in the "background" so when I move or close my child the file name already exists in the the parent field.

This script works in IE, Safari, Firefox 1.5, but NOT in firefox 2.0?

What do I need to modify to get it to work in Firefox 2.0?

Usually, to access the parent window, you'd use window.opener.
