flash effects with ajax

I was wondering if it were possible to do a site similar to this one:

1. is it possible to load html into more than one div? if you click on
a portrait you will see a small button at the bottom for portrait info.
I've tried some scripts for loading content into a div but don't know
how to load related content, image and info, into more that one div.

2. how do I make a sliding div, arrow at top of portraits?

I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Check in Asynchronous Javascript And XML, aka AJAX. There's a known
very used set, Prototype, which does the file requesting and
inserting of the fragment html bit. There's also another set,
Scriptaculous, which does all that plus the fading and sliding
procedures.
