New Ajax Group

Hi,

I just started a group solely about AJAX.
Mostly because I can't solve all beginner problems I have
with learning how to use AJAX myself :-)
http://groups.google.be/group/ajax-apps

Thanks,
MJ

but it's on some crappy web thing, so who of the people who read
hundreds of messages a day is ever going to bother reading it there?

Oh,
I was under the impression that it could be something very useful
if used right.

The problem is that web based general topic groups, especially ones on
google groups which are not to be found in regular web searches are
less likely to gain enough traction on their own to sustain interest
for the knowledgeable people - reading web-based content is slow and
inconvenient compared to usenet, and mailing lists rarely work well in
this time of heavy spam filtering.

I also don't really see how the existing groups are really
inappropriate? We've been fielding ajax questions in clj since 1996,
no reason to stop now.
