Hi.
I have a function to submit the form when my user types any character
on a textbox. I call the function on the keyup event of the textbox.
The function submits the form and set the focus on the textbox, after
the submit. The form submits ok, but after the submit the focus won't
return to the textbox. Can anyone help me to solve that problem?
That's the function:
<Script language='Javascript'>

Okay, how do I write a page with a form so that when I click Submit,
the following happens?
1. The data is submitted (of course)
2. The form is cleared (what I've tried results in the form being
cleared first, resulting in an empty submission), and
3. The cursor goes back to the start of the form, ready for more input
(kind of like how Google puts the cursor in the search box at the
start).

Hello,
I have been playing with various Googled solutions for capturing the <Enter>
key to suppress form submission.
My first question is whether anyone has a script that works in all common
browsers? The script bellow is IE only. It fails FF 1.0 and NN 7.
Also, if I can trap the keypress I would like to use it to tab to the next
tabindex.

When I validate a form on submission I use the javascript focus function to
scroll the page to the location of the form error e.g.
document...focus();
If you happened to have the page scrolled above where the error field is
then the page will scroll so that the error field is at the very top of the
window. If you happened to have the page scrolled below where the error
field is then the page will scroll so that the error field is at...

Hi, in the NorthWind sample database, when clicking on the next
navigation button on the new order record with nothing on the subform
(order details), we got an order with nothing ordered. How can we
prevent this from happening?
Thanks.

I recently upgraded from Access 2000 to Access 2007 and I am having
trouble with moving the focus from 1 form to another.
While doing data entry if a similar claim is found the claim view
form will open listing the similar claims. The data entry clerk can
view 1 of the claims and by doubling clicking on the claim number some
info from the claim view will be used to populate fields on the data
entry screen.
The following code is used...

I have a web page which used to work fine until i added a rich text editor.
the pages are in ASP and it is a news weblog, with a comments section where people click the headline of a comment and it opens into a pop up page ccalled "comment_view.asp" which has a reply button. If anyone wants to reply to the message, they click reply and it takes them to the parent page (view.asp) where there is a form for them to fill in,and submit the...

As part of a JavaScript precheck form validation I noticed a problem
with trying to return focus to the field with an error. I have setup a
demo page.
http://www.littleworksstudio.com/temp/usenet/focus.html
To simulate the problem, just enter or change the "first" textbox and
either click or tab to another control., it is tied to the onchange
event. An alert box that simulates the "warning". When you close it the
focus will not move...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
