The code is old. Did you write it or is it taken from somewhere? If you want cross-browser code which is cleaner and dropping support for old, buggy browsers like Netscape 4, then you'll have to start again, though you can use a lot of the code you already have.
For key events, you need to use the onkeypress/up event to detect key presses and call a function which works out which key was pressed and deals with it accordingly. Which key was pressed? Sign in to post your reply or Sign up for a free account.

I am stumped. I encoded the action = of my form using GET and I can't seem
to get the property/value stuff from it using a JavaScript script I got from
the web.
I want to create a trivia game where the user gets 1 question at a time and
it keeps scoring until the end and gives a summary and I want to do it only
in JavaScript (no ASP, PHP, JSP, etc).
I tried submitting the quiz page to itself using a query string to keep

Are there methods for manipulating images in JavaScript that would allow me
to write functions to rotate, skew, mask and resize images (bitmaps)?
The functions need to be fast enough for use in a top-down scrolling game.
Or would I be better off preprocessing all of the images with something
server side such as PHP and then preloading them into my JavaScript already
manipulated?
The only thing I don't like about the idea of...

Create a game in a 3x3 HTML table that works as follows:
* The goal of the game is to beat the computer by scoring more
points than the computer.
* The game starts when a hidden random number between 1 and 9 is
placed in each cell.
* The user and computer take turns by "clicking" on table cells.
When a cell is "clicked" by the user, the user scores the number of
hidden points in the cell. When the computer takes a turn, it "clicks
on"...

I've never had a problem untill its makers switched to Java Se (SUN Java). Normally, when you move to a new location / area in this game it brings up these words loading-please wait... and within 2 seconds...

I've struck zero in finding a Link to a sudoku game that actually uses images for numbers, even images OF numbers. Yes, I'd prefer the game in JavaScript. Every site I've been too, (hundreds) uses CSS and HTML and NOT images. I've only found 1 site that uses images, and their source code is NOT available for viewing, at all. I can't even find that site anymore. I do mean that the game itself uses images in solving the problem. I do not mean,...

Its kind of a puzzle game with time-based scoring and other things.
Check it out.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
