How do I use JavaScript to save a webpage (screen) to a file?
Perhaps a Mhtml?
Thanks for the help.

Use File -Save As or equivalent on your browser.
There is no general solution that will save the current web page to a
local file using javascript. There are browser-specific methods that
work in certain environments if configured appropriately, however all
the ones I know of present the Save As dialogue so are no better than
pressing Cmd + S (or equivalent).
There are also browser plug-ins or add-ons that will do the job
(again, they are browser-specific).

Perhaps a Mhtml?
MHTML is poorly standardized. You could use a zip-file; that is always
offered with a "Save As"-dialog. It's also automatically unzipped on
recent Windows versions.

MHTML is poorly standardized.
It is well standardized but poorly implemented. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MHTML
You could use a zip-file; that is always offered with a "Save As"-dialog.
Not here. Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; [...]; .NET
CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
It's also automatically unzipped on recent Windows versions.
So Windows XP SP2 is not recent?

Anyone who slaps a 'this page is best viewed with Browser X' label on
a Web page appears to be yearning for the bad old days, before the Web,
when you had very little chance of reading a document written on another
computer, another word processor, or another network. -- Tim Berners-Lee

MHTML is not well standardized at all. It isn't even a standard, only
a *proposed* standard. From your link:
| MHTML is a proposed standard, circulated in a revised
| edition in 1999 as RFC 2557.
>You could use a zip-file; that is always offered with a "Save As"-dialog.
Not here. *Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; [...]; .NET
CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
Strange. How are zip-files from internet offered on your PC then ?
Automatically downloaded ? Automatically unzipped ? A suspicious
firewall ? etc.
>It's also automatically unzipped on recent Windows versions.
So Windows XP SP2 is not recent?
Windows XP and Vista are shipped with a default unzip utility on
board. This even goes back to ME and Plus!98: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259177

Hi VB fans
I'm working on a relatively large project in VB6 with about a dozen
forms, including graphs, labels, text boxes, etc. The software itself
is actually a flow simulator with more or less complex technical
calculations, several input variables. I would like to equipp the
starting panel with the usual New, Open, Save, Save As, Close etc.
menus (like in Excel, or Word, etc.) What is the best way to
accomplish Save, or Save As?...

Hello all,
I'm using the "API: Call Windows File Open/Save Dialog Box" to source the
name of a file to open. The Dialog Box when called opens in the top left
hand corner of the screen. I have been unable to determine a method of
forcing the dialog box to open in the centre of the screen (or any other
position on the screen). How can l control the position on the screen in
which the dialog box opens ?
Any help would be greatly...

We are a state agency that views protected medical information via our
intranet. The screens even have privacy shields. Alarmingly, uses can
"Print" and "Save As" which destroys the protection of the health
information at the level we want.
QUESTION: Can we shut those off?? Any other suggestions??

First of all, I thought this might be a directory security issue but it's not.
I was able to upload the file to the directory via HTTP.
Here's the situation.
I have a JPG file on my server.
..../images/myPIC.jpg
I wanted to draw a box or line using GDI+ on top of myPIC.jpg and then save
the new image to the server.

I would like to save a web page to a file and have the hyperlinks work

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
