I'm trying to create a simple image gallery that has a floating image
that popups up when the user clicks on a thumbnail. So far so good.
Now, when I tried to align the popup image so it's near the cursor,
things get a little screwy: it works fine for Internet Explorer 6
(although always appears near the top for a long page) but completely
fails with Firefox (causing it to ignore the rest of the JavaScript).
Can someone help explain why? ...

I'm having some serious difficulties with my ASP.Net 2.0 app rendering in
Safari 2.0.3. The most immediate problem is that the menu control doesn't
seem to work at all, particularly the use of dynamic levels.
I've Googled around a bit and determined that the problem is not so much
with Safari as it is with ASP.Net inaccurately determining the browser
capabilites for that browser. In the 2.0 Framework it appears that browser

specified text field into view on everything I have tried it with except

Hi,
I just did a bunch of testing and was surprised with the results. If
anyone doesn't know this stuff here is what I found about
event.clientX.
The event.clientX property in Safari is in page coordinates. In IE,
Opera, Firefox event.clientX it is in window coordinates.
This means a lot when trying to determine event location in page

I'm trying to understand this and don't get it...
I found some code that looks like it's going to work if I can make
sense of how to position the div.
The code displays a div with some data when I mouse over an element (A
column in an ASP.NET Gridview, but I suppose that's not important)
Everything works great, except I can't seem to position the div where I

Yes - I know floating/persistent layers can be yucky - but for this project it is only tiny and contains some xy mouse coordinates for a map...
buy anyway - here's my problem:
I have a javascript that keeps the layer persistent for the HEIGHT, but not WIDTH in IE7.
Of course it works great in the other browsers... Can anyone see what is wrong with the script? Any help would be so good - I have tried everything my limited knowledge...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
