Hi everyone-
I have built a simple map navigation system where a user can move
around a map, and I have set limits on how far the user can drag an
image around. What I'd like to be able to do is if the image is
dragged to it's edge, I'd like to freeze the mouse cursor if the user
tries to move it any further while the mouse button is down. I don't
just want to freeze the image, because what happens is the image
freezes and the user inevitably drags the cursor outside of the
image. So instead, I'd like to freeze both the image, and the mouse
cursor. Is this possible?

I have set onmousedown to change the cursor, but this setting is ignored
(IE 5.5; NN 6.1 on Win 2K Pro) until the mouse is either moved or the
mouse button is released. On Opera 7.01, the setting seems to be ignored
completely, even when I try with window.setTimeout.

so that I don't have to wait for the next mouse event before the cursor

I have created a form designer type application (with a lot of you peoples
helpJ). It has label controls that are draggable at runtime. The user is
also allowed to change some properties such as forecolor, backcolor and
font. The labels also are rotatable and the text can also be flipped 180
degrees (the flipped text part is still being worked on). I have one context
menu for all 30 labels that allows for the property changes to the labels....

Dear all,
A mouse click on some object in my application should select this object,
where mouse down should start moving until mouse up.
But, when I press mouse down small move always happens. I tried to work with
move tolerance, but then if mouse was near the border of the object, it
leaves object and next mouse move is not passed to it. So I am thinking to
work with timer. I.e.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
