hello,
i have a table that creates and deletes rows dynamically using
createElement, appendChild, removeChild.
when i have added the required amount of rows and input my data, i
would like to calculate the totals in each row.
when i try however, i receive the error:
"Error: 'elements' is null or not an object"

I'm messing around the width of a table and can't see to get it right. Let
me explain what I am trying to do. I have 5 cells in 1 row. The first cell I
would like to be 20% of the screen space. The middle 3 cells are filled with
text and will be whatever width the text is (so no width specified). Then I
want the last cell to just fill in the rest of the screen. What I have now
is:

I have a table that has 3 image slices. The middle slice changes size based
on size of browser window. This works great.
My client wants the date to show over the image on the right. So what I did
was cut off the top part of the image (which is just a solid color and I can
handle by making the background-color of the cell this color). I then use a
asp line to display the date, which also works.

I am completely baffled... i cannot for the life of me get the HEIGHT style
to work on a table in the new 2005-supported XHTML.
I put a HEIGHT: 100% on my table so that my footer row will also show up at
the very bottom of the page (unless content pushes it further down).
But when the browser renders the page, its as if there was no height
specified on the table, it all just shrinks up to the top of the page, as
short as the content will...

Is there really any advantage to using DIV elements with float style
properies, vs. the old method of TABLE and TR and TD?
I'm finding that by using DIV, it still involves the same number of
elements in the HTML to get everything just right. When you consider
the class attribute on the DIV elements, there's not much size savings
anymore for using DIV.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
