Welcome to TSDN.

You can display this after the page has loaded or whilst it is rendering the page.

If your page takes a long time to load, consider loading the main part first, display the message, then use Ajax to load the rest.

To display the message, just use something like:
<div id="loadMsg">Pa ge is loading. Please wait...</div>
then when the page has loaded, set the display property to 'none' or visibility to 'hidden'.

Hello, I have a requirement that specifies that I display a "Please Wait..." window (preferably modal) along with a gif that mimics a progress bar during a save operation. The dialog needs to be closed at the end of the operation. How do I go about this... Issues are: 1. I believe a showModaldialog would stop all back ground processing and shift control to the modal dialog. 2. I would like to close the dialog from the parent window...

Anyone have any links and/or code samples demonstrating how this can be done? Current procedure is that john doe clicks an item on a datagrid of mine and after however long, gets the info he wants. What I want to do is have a page that pops up "in-between" the two pages. Something that says "Processing Request: Please Wait" or somesuch and have a progress bar or something as well (would not have to be an accurate progress bar, per se)....

Hi. I've developed a web application which handles a big ammount of data (acquired via web form), so it takes 30-40 seconds to show the result. In order to calm down users, I want to implement some JavaScript code which shows: ------ "Wait a moment...."

I have two dropdowns that take a few seconds to populate (they are populated from a remote database, but the connection to the database is not the best). Is it possible to put a 'Loading...' message into the dropdownlist which will show by default, and then will disappear when the dropdown is populated? Maybe this could be done through javascript or otherwise?

I've seen on some php forums that they use some type of popup box that I assume is javascript to display a animated gif/flash when you do a quick edit. My popup blocker does not detect it so I leads me to believe it is javascript. Does anyone have an ideas on how I can do this or an example/tutorial? They use it on Invision Power Boards Thanks

There's a problem with what is displayed on a tab in my UI. At first, it's a message, "loading...". Then it should be replaced with the actual file name on the tab. Now the issue is that it takes a long time before the message "loading..." is replaced by file name. In my debugger, the switch between "loading..." and file name happens AFTER the last line of code below: void LoadReportFilesWorker_RunWorkerCompleted(object sender,

I've read the page life cycle thing in msdn, still, i'm getting a bit confused of thinking how all the things are going under the hood... I know that when page loading, that the controls' properties is populated and when page unloading, the resources are cleared. What I want to know is what's happening behind it, that is, from the perspective of the asp.net implementor.....I'm not sure whether i've stated clearly, hope you get it.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
