I'm building a menu for a page, like this (snippet):

<a href="#" style="display: block">Contact</a>
</td>
As a result, I get nice clickable tabs. However, there's the
not-so-nice problem of unsightly borders shown here: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...d/not_nice.jpg
When however, I click elsewhere, I lose the ugly highlight as shown
here: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...ohead/nice.jpg
Is there anything I can do about this? Is there a way to lose focus or
something like that.

Yes. Javascript can be used to remove the focus from the link after
clicking.

This is a hint to users where the focus is. Keyboard user like or even
need it. If _you_ don't like it change your user style sheet.

Hi All,
I called an external stylesheet main.css, created the html files and
checked them locally OK. I uploaded everything to the server. When I
checked it, the connection kept crashing. I finally figured out that
the connection was freezing up every time I called index.html. I
changed the name of the stylesheet and changed the links, and I no

Oddly enough, I found it difficult, using Google, to find a list of

my stylesheet shows different colors for visited, active and hovered links.
It works fine in IE 6, but in Opera 7 the color for the active link (red

I'd like to have a CSS file for everything that's common to my site,
and other CSS files that are specific to certain pages or groups of
pages. When a page loads, it would load in BOTH the General CSS and the
specific CSS file for that page. As long as none of the selector names
were the same on both, could the page follow the styles set out in both
files?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
