I have a problem with my javascript code. The window.onload function
doesn't get called when there is vbscript between the two. Here is my
code which works:
<script type="text/javascript">
window.onload = function () {
var oTextbox = new
AutoSuggestCont rol(document.ge tElementById("t xtManagers"), new
ManagerSuggesti ons());
}//adocument.getEl ementById("txtP rofileID"),
</script>
</head>
<body>
<p>ManagerName: <input type="text" id="txtManagers " /> </p>
Once I implement this code into my main code, which contains vbscript
in between the input and the javascript code. The window.onload
doesn't get called. My layout on my main code is
basically...jav ascript, vbscript, input tag.
Please, help!

Try ...javascript, vbscript, javascript, input tag.
Better, though, to replace the VBscript with javascript; few browsers
handle VBscript.

When I create new documents in Dreamweaver, there are several choices for
ASP creation:
ASP JavaScript: run at client side??
ASP VBScript: run at server side??
ASP.NET C#
ASP.NET VB
I don't understand the differences between ASP JavaScript and ASP VBScript??
Because JavaScript is client-side technology, and ASP is server side
technology. I think VBScript is used to implement ASP pages.

Hi,
I made a ASP file in order to pass variables from VB or JAVAscript to the
ASP-server. Both ASP script are in VB, but the client-script are in VB and
in JAVAscript. The name are testvb.asp and testjava.asp.
My problem is: it works with testvb.asp but not with testjava.asp (no error
but nothing appears)

My problem is I routinely use both vbscript and javascript (yes, that is a
problem in itself) on the same webpage. I feel placing the "javscript:" or
"vbscript:" on all my client side events is bloating the size of my page,
especially in my menu.
I am aware the "default" language of the page is the first defined script,
but I can not guarantee javascript will always be defined first. Is there a
way to wrap a block of html to have a...

Hi all--
I'm new to HTML and scripts and am having a problem with some code,
pasted in at the bottom. It uses javascript to get values from a form
in another frame, stores part of an SQL string in a cookie, then uses
vbscript to query a database. The page is reloaded by clicking a button
in another frame.
The problem I'm having is I have to reload the page twice (click the
button twice) before changed values are used. It seems like...

That subject packs a whallop, so let me explain in better detail what's
happening and how it relates to ASPX pages...
In a nutshell, if the first <script /on a page is of type
"text/vbscript", you cannot use inline JavaScript statements that call
setTimeout with functions that start with a double-underscore. This is
very relavant to ASPX (ASP Dot Net) pages because it means that
AutoPostBacks will fail since they generally call the...

I put together a few lines of vbscript so I could dump the contents of a
string to my C drive. It worked fine in a small test.htm where I put the
vbscript at the top of the file. It failed to work (no error message) in my
large program where I needed to dump out the stuff. I did get an error
message from FrontPage 2003 but it was not informative.
When moved the vbscript to the bottom of the page it worked fine!

I need a Visual Basic Script file, call it "Move and Reformat Text File.VBS," that will run from a Windows Script Host command-prompt-based version as follows:

Hi Guys,
It's been a while, I've got a small problem that I could do with your
expertise on.
As you know (I Think) I build websites for recruitment agencies, part of the
website includes a job board facility and for job form entry I used a normal
form with a normal textbox, however what I'm finding now is that a lot of
recruitment consultants are pasting the job description into the textbox,
which when submitted is resulting in most of...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
