browser screen width?

Hello,
I"m looking for a cross-browser (Firefox 1+, IE 6+, Safari
whatever+) to calculate the width of the viewable browser area. Note
that this is different than the screen width, which would always stay
the same value, even if you started resizing your browser.

Much thanks for your help, - Dave

Under the domain publicpen.com I've several dozen sites in subdiretories, such as www.publicpen.com/honenbeger. I've no trouble with any of these sites. But under one, which I put in yesterday, www.publicpen.com/staengl, when I point my browser there, the browser, instead of showing me the index.htm pages like it should, it instead tries to download it as an object. Why? Below are the contents of index.htm. Does anyone see anythging...

Hi, Is there any way to specify which monitor a Window.open() will launch a new browser window in on systems with more than one display. It would only need to work with Mozilla browsers, and not IE. Thanks!

Hello I am new to asp but I made some Jscript functions which work fine. The functions contain some strings used as a registration key for some apps. It is important that these strings not be visible to a client using a browser. My question is...can a knowledgeable browser user view Jscript source code in an asp file?

I've got a page with two columns: one floats left, the other doesn't float. The page displays fine in Netscape no matter what. In IE (both 6 and 7), it looks fine as long as the browser window is more than 800 pixels wide. However, when the browser window gets narrow, IE pushes the text in the right-hand column to below where the left-hand column ends. I can't figure out where I went wrong. Sample page is...

I have posted a quick survey at <http://cfaj.freeshell.org/testing/width.shtml>. There's only one question: select the widest line that fits in your normal browser window. Your assistance is appreciated. -- Chris F.A. Johnson, webmaster <http://Woodbine-Gerrard.com>

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
