Jumping in a frame not working inside a table

Hi,

I have a script that allows me to highlight a row of text.

This text is in a table.

The table is long and scrolls down the page below the visiable canvas.

What I need is a method to jump to the highlighted row.

I am able to jump to my anchor as long as the anchor isn't located
within the table (ie I can jump to the bottom of the table if I put the
anchor just below the table). However as soon as I place it within the
table...no luck.

Here is the code I am using to jump;
eval ("document.loca tion='#row" + n + "'");

Can someone explain how I can reference the table in my jump method?

Or is there something else I can do?

Thanks

No need for eval:

document.locati on = "#row" + n;

That depends on how your page is coded.
Or is there something else I can do?

No need for eval:

document.locati on = "#row" + n;

It doesn't seem to work unless I use eval. I tried taking it out just
now and nothing happens.

Hi all, I am trying to copy a form that is in one frame, using a button on another frame. The form has a couple of tables inside it. I can get it working when the button is in the same frame, but not in different ones. I get an "invalid argument" error on the controlRange.addElement(x) line. What I have so far is: <script language='javascript'>

I tried finding an answer on http://www.quirksmode.org/ without success. I am attempting a complicated Frames structure. I have made it work in IE, but not Netscape. I begin with three frames, where the two lower ones are within a Frameset within the master Frameset: 1111111111111111111

Hi, I have two horizontal frames, one on top of the other. The top frame is an image map of a street with property boundary's on it. The bottom frame is a table with each row of the table holds details about a perticular property from the image map above.

I am having a frustrating time trying to do a simple insert of a BMP picture into a Bound Object Frame using both VBA and the Insert | Object... dialog. I had a separate post thread going on this and closed it off when I thought I had resolved the problem, but now I am back at square one. So I thought I would start afresh with a new post. Here is the problem... A few months ago, I set up a Bound Object Frame on a form which was tied to...

I´m new to ASP.Net. My workmate has some experience with it. He claimed that in ASP.Net working with frames is much simpler than it was ASP. I asked explanation but he couldn't give me such. (a button inside a-tag with attribute target isn't anything new relating ASP.Net, its same old HTML). He claimed that you could change another page´s controls´s property´s value from another frame by using this method: ' Page "Bottom"

I've built a system in myjob that does the following: We have a page with frames one frame loads the default.aspx and the other frame loads the events.aspx. Inside events.aspx we have a loop that exists while IsClientConnected == true, inside this loop we have a try/catch block, that catches exceptions of type ThreadInterruptedException and inside the Try block we have only a Thread.Sleep(SOME_INTERVAL). When the page events.aspx is...

I cannot seem to find the answer to this rather simple question. Pardon me if it looks illogial or silly. Can I create a frame in the same page without referring to other html files? I.e., I have a large dynamically created table in my JSP page. I would like to place it inside the scrollable frame. If I put the whole table into a separate file, I can easily do it by referring to that HTML file from the 'src' attribute. But what if I want...

Hi, before you say it i know frames are bad practice - but i'm developing dynamic content on a site which has already been designed, so alas there's no option but to use them. Anyway, I just want to add simple styling to the scrollbar of the left hand frame of the page, but the styling i've applied isn't working for some reason. The site is at http://www.maguiresonline.co.uk/new_website/index.html It's the scrollbar in the middle of the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
