I have some legacy data that I want to convert to XML. I've designed
a schema to represent the data in XML form, and I'm trying to figure
out how best to perform the raw->XML conversion. The Java web
services tutorial shows how to use Transformers and SAXSource objects
to perform the conversion in a memory-efficient way, but it requires
that I take responsibility for adherence to the schema myself in how I
generate the XML output. So I...

Hi
I am currently following the tutorial from IBM
(http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/edu/x-dw-xjaxb-i.html)
I have three problems at the moment.
1. It says else where that when the source code files are generated using
the XJC, it is possible to compile the generated source code using javac
generated\*.java generated\impl\*.java , but this only gives me 97 errors.?

I used Google to find information about JAXB 2.0 and I ended up
downloading a document called "The Java Architecture for XML Binding
(JAXB) 2.0: Proposed Final Draft September 30, 2005".
Section D.2 (pages 331 to 334) gives an unambiguous explanation of the
mapping from an XML name into a Java identifier *if* the
underscoreHandling is "asWordSeparator" (which is the default). In
particular, Table D-1 uses regular expressions to clearly...

I am currently cleaning up an application which was origainlly hashed
together with speed of coding in mind and therefore contains quite a few
"hacky" shortcuts.
As part of this "revamping" process I am introducing namespaces to
properly compartmentalise sections of the code into logical units. What
I am speciffically trying to get right is the dependency tree for header
files to reduce compile time and simplify the code structure.
On...

My web service has a single method called "CheckEligibility". This
method can be used to check a person's eligibility for multiple
products. Each product has different data requiements so each product
has its own Data transfer Object that inherits from the base DTO used
by the "CheckEligibility" method.
I am using the attribute to make the product specific
DTO's avaialble to the consumer.
Also, the name of the particular objects...

I have problem with namespaces. I have a program that consumes the web
service and has for instance names space nsProgram. In this program I have
defined several classes that I use for storing and handling internal
information. Than I have web service, that also uses the same classes (I
included the file as linked external resource). I included this web service
as web reference and used name wsWeb.
When I am trying to call the web...

<xs:enumeration value="Forward"></xs:enumeration>
<xs:enumeration value="ForwardUnlessMonthChange"></xs:enumeration>
<xs:enumeration value="NoShift"></xs:enumeration>

Hi
I need check required elements and attributes in JAXB java classes , if there are any value for them place it , otherwise place default value in xml file , because of it I upgrade JAXB2.0 to JAXB 2.1 to support "required" in "XmlElement" , I read in "JavaWS(JAXB)Tutorial.pdf" that JAXB itself check required elements and attributes , if there are any value for them place it , otherwise place default value in xml file , the exact part of...

Hey guys,
I am using an xsd to generate an xml file. For this I'm using jaxb from "https://jaxb.dev.java.net/2.1.9/JAXB2_20081030.jar".
I have successfully managed to create marshal for a context and generated the xml for the xsd.
However I have not been able to include the XSD namespace, target namespace etc
in my generated xml file.
Can you guys please help me on this.
Thanks in advance

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
