I get the error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
when I type java app2 in the command prompt. I've tried moving to the jre
directory and typed java c:\app2\app2, but it gives me the same exception.
What could be the problem?

I am a previous Micro$oft desertee (moved from VB/VC++ to Java before
this whole DOTNET thing) because I had several issues with Micro$oft. I

SWING sucks BIG TIME for developing and deploying desktop applications

Hi all,
I am trying to install a java stored procedure via the windows
development centre.
The linux box is running 8.1 FP4 as is the windoze platform. If I am
on the linux box i can install the sample jdbc stored procedures o.k.
For the purpose of this test I created a sample procedure that
executes "select * from department" when conected to the sample
database on the linux box.

I have a small program (see below) that demonstrates an error I am
getting when I build the program on a linux platform.
I first initialize an unsigned char array (lines 16).
I then initialize my array of my typedeffed structure (dataStruct)
(lines 18-24). I use my initialized unsigned character array to
initialize the unsigned character pointer member of the structure
(line 21).

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
