We currently send product releases to our customers, and often have to
include scripts that need to be ran on the Oracle databases (also do
it for SqlServer customers, but we use a different set of scripts for
that). Some of the Sql scripts can be quite long, and so we break
them out to their own script files and call them all from one main
..sql file, using sqlplus to execute it all.
The admin would run the file like:

I can hardly believe I'm the first one to report this, but having gone
through the newsgroup, it appears that way.
I would like to open a solution in the VS.NET IDE that consists of
multiple DLLs and a test application (an .EXE). The .EXE is my startup
application. All the DLLs are shared components. This means that they
contain a key and are stored in the GAC.
When I go to run the test application in the IDE, it will not execute...

Hello
I would like to have several sites share a single web.config file. To accomplish this, I would point the root of these sites to the same folder. Is there any reason why I might not want to do this? (IIS 5 or 6
In case you're wondering why I would do this, we have many web sites on a single server, and there are groups of sites that need to share common configuration information. I'd like to ease some administration by having one...

I have a problem with moving the backup of my database from machine to
machine. The size is 17 Gig and my network keeps timing out when I try
to ftp it from machine to machine. I have had the situation where I
ended up with a backup that was in several pieces. the files were
xxxxx.001 xxxxxx.002 and so on.
I was thinking that if I could break up the file into smaller pieces
they would be able to move easier. Does anyone know how to...

Until now I have worked on small teams (1-3 developers) and we've been able
to stay out of each others way. Now I'm about to start work on a project
that will have 5 developers. I would appreciate some guidance on how we can
proceed to develop without having to worry about "who is working on what
files".
We're developing with SQL Server 2005, VS 2005 Pro (no way management is
going to spring for the $10,000 team edition for everybody),...

Hi,
I need to organize thousands of directories full of files.
I want to move these directories into other subdirectories.
For example, all the directories that start with 01, move to
a directory named "one", all directories that start with 02, move
to a directory name "two", and so on....
I can't seem to find any easy way to do this.
Looks like shutil.move only lets you move if the subdirectory DOES
NOT exist, so after the first...

Good morning at all,
i have to implement a server,that every n-seconds (eg. 10sec) sends to
other clients, which files and directory has been deleted or modified.
i build a n-tree, for each files on harddisk there's a node into n-
tree,
this solution is not good for large hard disk..
and i can't use inotify (it's forbidden),
and only c solutions are accepted
without third party software or external calls.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
