I have hard time to understand run-time environment. Let assume that I have

statically allocated, the compiler can use the absolute address of alpha to
access to it. What confuses me is that when the variable is dynamically

Hello!
I get compile error when compiling using the command javac from the command
terminal window(CMD).
I have just two classes which are called HelloWorld.java and Slask.java.
I have both classes in the directory called temp and I do cd temp to this
directory.
Then I do javac HelloWorld.java
Now I get the compile error
HelloWorld.java:9 cannot find symbol

I have some programs running on Red Hat Linux 7.3 working with IBM DB2
V6.1 (with all the FixPacks) on my old machine.
I have just installed IBM DB2 V8.1 on this (new) machine running Red Hat

A97 aborts creation of MDE reporting that there's a compile
error in one form. Sure enough, if I remove the form from the
source database and attempt to compile the MDE, it succeeds.
But when I open the source MDB file and the form's class
module, click Debug, Compile Loaded Modules - no compile
time error is reported. What is the MDE doing to find a compile
time error that Debug/Compile Loaded Modules is not?

I am developing my pages on my development machine
and then copying to the production server.
I am not pre-compiling, I am using the 'dynamic compile'
feature. This is working fine except that everytime
I change a page on the production server I need to restart
IIS to effect the change.
If I don't restart IIS, it tries to recompile but gets and
error ( 'cannot execute a program......vbc.exe......).
Am I missing something which allows...

Am working on a Java application in which I have to use the JNI to Interface with some native code for both windows and unix. Am using netbeans IDE with the C/C++ pack installed. Am also using Cygwin as my compiler (gcc), this is ostensibly because I hope this compiler will also compile the unix native libraries since I don't have a Linux installation. I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
