Been banging my head on this for two days now. Hope someone can help!
My test program below is in the form of a single JSP, with a Node class
build in. (All the coded needed to run is below.)
The technical requirements:
1) Store tree data in the database so that it can be
extracted as a tree structure. For test purposes,

I am studying on a project that requires to manipulate the index data.
I know oracle uses b-tree index as the default structure.. But where
is this structure stored? Is it a table. If so, can I access data (in
the index)?
Can I access the index from outside (from a java application) Actually
I want to "traverse" the nodes of B-tree.
Thanks a lot..

As the topic says, I am wondering how (in Java) I can extract a sub-tree
of a org.w3c.dom.Document and form a brand new one. I use Oracle's
XMLDocument implementation and have been playing around with
DocumentFragment etc. but somehow I always end up creating only the
single node and not its sub-nodes.

Hi,
I'm currently implementing a database with a tree structure in a table. The
nodes in the tree are stored as records with a column called "Parent". The
root of the tree has a "NULL" parent. The path to each node is stored in
the column "Path" and is of the form "\000001\000002\000003\" etc. The
latter enabling me to fetch subtrees using the "LIKE" predicate. I also
have created the relation "ID" <-> "ID_Parent, effectively the...

I would like to perform a schema validation of a DOM tree that is
already assembled in memory with as little fuss and setup as possible.
I see support in the Xerces documentation to perform validation with
DOMBuilder and XercesDOMParser. There is also an interface class
called XMLValidator, but it is not clear to me how I might use these
resources to achieve what I described above. Any help getting started
in the right direction would...

Alright I needed some help regarding a removal of a binary search
tree. Yes its for a class, and yes I have tried working on it on my
own, so no patronizing please. I have most of the code working, even
the removal, I just don't know how to keep track of the parent, so
that I can set its child to the child of the node to be removed.
IE - if I had

Hi everyone, I'm wondering whether it's possible to construct a
binary-tree using python.
Since python don't have pointer, it can't dynamically allocate memory
like C language.
But some important data structures like linked list, binary-tree and
hash table are closely linked with dynamic memory technology.
Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
