Hello there
I tried for several days to get a simple validation with xml schema &
xerces working. Goal for me is tuse JAXP and not specific Xerces
classes. I don't get the point what I am doing wrong. Could somebody
help me? I didn't find any full example working on the net. Thank you
for any hints!
If I run the examples below, the parsers parses the file well, no
vlaidation is occuring although the schema and xml file does not

Hello all,
does anyone know of a tool, preferably free, preferably on linux, which will
take an xml file and validate it against your own custom W3C XML Schema file
(.xsd) ??
All help appreciated - it's proving very difficult to find.
Failing that, does anyone know how to get the W3C's own online validating
engine (XSV, I think it's called) to do the same job? I can't get it to do
what I want and I can't really understand the output.

Hi NG,
I would need to validate an XML fragment against a type defined within
an XSD (which defines many other things). What is the correct way of
achieving this?

Hi,
as mentioned above I'd like to validate a simple XML-document with a simple
DTD.
For this, I use Java and Xerces.
But, when I have tags of this form:
<tag>some characters in here</tag>
Xerces always complains with:

I've been working on learning XML schemas and trying to
make use of the MS classes for validating data against a
schema.
So, I've been trying to work through some simple schemas
and instances. But, the parser inside of Visual Studio
seems to frequently validate against a cached version of
the schema.
Occassionally I have an XML file that won't validate

Hi folks,
I downloaded the binary version of Xerces C++ 2.7.0 for Windows and am
using it to help me get up to speed with XML and XML Schema. So please
excuse me if this is a "novice" question.
In the samples/data directory, I ran the following command for all the
files:
DOMPrint -n -s -f -v=always <filename>

Hi all,
Does the SAX parser has eventhandlers for parsing xml schema.
Can we parse the xml schema the same way as we parse the xml document
using SAX Parser.
Thanks in advance.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
