Drawing a rotated Polygon with Graphics2D.

I have a Polygon object I would like to draw using a Graphics2D object.
I would like to set both the x and y locations of the polygon and its
rotation around its center. How can I do this. I've been playing with
AffineTransform but I'm getting nowhere.

I want to be able to easily create reusable shapes in Tkinter and be able to use them in mid level dialogs. So after some experimenting I've managed to get something to work. The following does pretty much what I need, but I think it can be improved on. So could anyone take a look and let me know what you think? Some of the things I want to add, but aren't exactly sure how at this time: Nested groups Use tags to be able to change sub...

I have heard that the video drivers in GDI+ are a big performance issue. But is this only an issue with something like Games Programming i think...is this wrong?. What about a drawing application just drawing simple one dimensional shapes(Polygons, beziers, polylines etc...) are these video drivers still useful for this?. If the video drivers are not a problem then is there any other performance problems that would be disastrous for a...

Hi All, I've recently been given the task of modifying some legacy VB 6 code to do with drawing rotated ellipses on a map at different zoom levels. I guess I could find a formula for drawing one manually using the DrawLine function or I could use the Windows graphics libraries to squash a perfect circle and rotate it... Is there an easier way to accomplish this or will I have to resort to manual

Hi, Is anyone know that how to get the x and y points inside the polygon using C++ program? I have the given polygon data to draw the polygon, but i don't know how to get all the points inside the polygon. Eg. Let's say we have 5 points to draw a polygon. Polygon ---------------------

Hi All, I m a new member here.I am now writing a program that render Vertex Normals.I m now trying to implement a data structure that will best suit computing vertex normals. For that computation , my data structure should have accessed to the faces adjacent to each vertices. first i read all vertices ,and faces from .m file into a structure. And stored in vectors. vector<Vertex> vertices; vector<Face> faces; Then i render that model.No...

I have an application where I want to redraw a polygon from points I retrieve from a file. The file is read with streamreader line by line each line contains the points for each polygon. Below is a typical line from my file. 500,748 500,678 552,678 552,696 584,696 584,714 612,714 612,748 Each set of x,y coordinates is separated by a space. How can I read this into my points collection. If I currently try I get

Hello, I am having a problem using intersects method of a class I made that extends Polygon. Basically, I am trying to write code that allows the user to drag these polygons. I create a 1x1 rectangle on a mouse press and look through an array to see if the rectangle intersects the polygon. If it does, then I call the polygon's move class, passing the x and y coordinates while the user is dragging. Problem is that it works the first time,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
