The subject says it all. I am doing a:
I have a perl script in which I am using a ReadParse routine that parses the
$ENV{'QUERY_STRING'} or $ENV{'CONTENT_LENGTH'} which are two variables passed
to the script under usual SSI (.shtml) containing form data submitted to the
page from which the script is executed from.
Well, since switching to PHP, I have moved most of my perl scripts to php
equivalents, but there are a few perl scripts...

Hi,
in the help page of env (man env) we can find:
...
...
/usr/bin/env
If env executes commands with arguments, it uses the default
shell /usr/bin/sh (see sh(1)).

Hi,
I wanted to write a function that gets the file path as an argument.
The file
path make take one of the two forms :
(i) Absolute file path e.g., /usr/local/file.log or
(ii)it may be $USRLOCAL/file.${EXT} where USRLOCAL=/usr/local and
$EXT=log

I have attempted to mark up a service and it's methods so that it
doesn't require the SOAPAction HTTP header to resolve the methods
being called, this is done from first element in <SOAP-ENV:Body> and
the request and responses are not suffixed with Request and Response.
Is there some more I could do with the attributes on the class that
defines the WS and on the methods. the code for the WS etc is below.
This I can get to work

This is more of a shell or env question, but I believe others here have
gone through this.
I want to run an optimized python using the portable /usr/bin/env, but
the obvious ways aren't working.
#!/usr/bin/env python -O
when I run ./test.py I get:
/usr/bin/env: python -O: No such file or directory

Many Python scripts I see start with the shebang line
#!/usr/bin/env python
What is the difference from using just
#!python
Regards,
Adriano.

When I run the code below, the $ENV{'HTTP_USER_AGENT'} is coming up blank, I'm saved the file under .pl and .cgi extensions and still I can't display the browser name.
For this reason the code below goes straight to the else statement, In actual fact I'm using IE.
Where I'm I going wrong?
#!/usr/bin/perl
print "Content-type:text/html\n\n";

Hello,
Does someone know how to create manually the header for an SOAP message, without having an WSDL?
I also use an X509 certificate for connecting to the webservice. Can anyone help me to get on the right road.
I have to talk to an old Java webservice, so that's why I don't have an WSDL.
I'm sending it with HTTPWebRequest or HTTPSWebRequest with VB but I needed a header like this:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
