Getting coredumps while running a java program with IBM JDK 1.3.1 on linux

Adi
A java program we have written crashes with IBM JDK 1.3.1 on linux.
It works fine on other platforms(Solar is,HPUx). It gets a SIGSERV
Signal 11 and crashes just after few minutes after starting up. THe
program creates a good number of threads.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Have tried following
setting LD_ASSUME_KERNE L=2.2.5
disabling JIT by passing -Djava.compiler= NONE

We are using red hat linux.
Environment:
Linux 2.4.9-e.3smp #1 SMP i686 unknown
glibc version : 2.2.4-32.3

java version "1.3.1"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1)
Classic VM (build 1.3.1, J2RE 1.3.1 IBM build cxia32131-20021107 (JIT
enabled:
itc))

I'm having trouble with a bash script (in Linux) I'm running from Java. It works -- some of the time, but I can't determine exactly why it works 1 time and doesn't work the next 4-5 times. I'm not sure, but the script seems more likely to work if I run it directly from bash. I was thinking of running a small script and, within the script, calling bash directly to execute the program, something like: #!/bin/bash bash...

Hello, According to the IBM website : http://www- 106.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-ss3-db2/ If you are using Red Hat 9, with its new thread library, Native POSIX Thread Library (NPTL), then the Java installation code used by DB2 will not work. You can force compatibility mode by setting the environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL to 2.2.5 before starting the install program

To all, Running into an out of memory error on our data warehouse server. This occurs only with our data from the 'September' section of a large fact table. The exact same query running over data from August or any prior month for that matter works fine which is why this is so weird. Note that June 2004 through today is stored in the same f_pageviews table. Nothing has changed on the server in the last couple of months. I upgraded...

I have a Python script which is used to load data into a database. Up to now this script has been run by customers from the Windows command prompt using "python edg_loader.pyc".
