I have an applet that sizes itself to the size of the browser frame
that it is running in. On IE the applet resizes upon dragging the
frame divider.
I'm having a problem with getting this applet to resize itself when I
resize the html frame if it's in Netscape 7.x. Seems like the problem
is the lack of a refresh signal to the java applet from the page. Is
this a known bug, is there a workaround? Thanks.

This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Java 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4.1, and
1.4.2 all define the Applet.getDocumentBase() method differently! How am I
supposed to get the directory of the document in which the applet is
embedded (like Java 1.3) using Java 1.4.2???

I hava a Java Applet that produces a DTMF tone at a certain time of
day.
There are 4 parameters to the Applet, they are
hour = Hour of triggered event 00~23
min = minute of triggered event 00~59
sec = Second of triggered event 00~59
tone = DTMF Tone to play 0~9 A~F # & *
I now need to write a HTML/JavaScript web page that will enable me to
pass these 4 parameters to the applet.

I am trying to run a Java Applet on my ascx page and am getting an IO
exception when IE6 tries to load the applet. It seems a lot of others are
getting the same problem but a search of the web did not turn up any sort of

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
