How to design a jsplitpane with jlist

Hello,

I wonder if somebody can help:

I want to design a jsplitpanel that has two panels: left and right.
In the left panel I can use jList to display a list of items. There
will be
an left arrow button and a right arrow button in between the two
panels, which allow me to select items from the left panel and put in
to the right panel. I can also remove items from the right panels by
using left arrow button.

How can I implement this?

Thanks a lot.

I am a beginner here, still in my first Java class, so I hope this question is not so simple as to offend anyone, but I am finishing up my cd inventory program. Adding some GUI buttons to manipulate data in my JList. JList is beyond the scope of my class so I am finding help hard to come by. I only have two weeks of class left, so it is too late to go back to my array now. It is sink or swim with what I have. :o) For my question ... I...

I do not even know how to correctly ask this question. I have an item field in the code I am about to post. Simple intger meant to be an item number for a cd. The user enters this number. Over the last week I have played with Add buttons, Del buttons, Modify and everything else and it brought to light a problem I want to address today. I have always just used 1 for the first item, 2 for the second and so on ... well after I am done will all...

Hi all, I've bumped into an odd problem creating a GUI in swing. As you will see in the screenshots, I have a tabbed layout. Each tab is a Jpanel. On this panel I have put a JList, containing a series of objects. My intention is to have a single column of objects in the list, and have it to scroll when the objects exceed the vertical space. My code is this: private JComponent createListBox() { Object test = {"Thingy 1","Thingy...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
