Greetings,
Introduction
Before we start designing and implementing our text builder class(es), I'd like
to mention a reply by Prometheuzz: he had a Dutch version of the entire bible
available, including those apocryphical books. I downloaded the entire shebang,
hacked my King James text processor a bit and now I have two bibles...

"What is Serialization?" We know that we can create resusable objects in Java. But the lifetime of those objects lasts only as long as the Java virtual machine is running. Once we close the JVM, we lose all those objects.
What if someone...

definitions. Either compilation succeeds and we get a Code object back from
our parser(s) or an InterpreterException is thrown indicating the cause of
the error.
Strictly...

Chapter 5: An Example of how to use Exceptions
As Exceptions might be new to you, here is an example of a very basic Text Adventure, that uses Exceptions. It is merely to give you an idea of how to use them in a real context - but of course, you're welcome to use it (you can hardly say "play it") and, if you want to, extend it.

I'm trying to figure a good way to handle saving game state to file (common save/load game function in games). ObjectOutput/InputStream seems most promising so far.
However, the object I'm saving contains lots of other objects which in turn contain other objects. All objects implement Serializable (I've given them all serialVersionUID = 1, not...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
