Hi,
Recently, we installed Sharepoint Services on our test server (Server 2003)
to try it out. I made a new web for my regular aspx pages. My problem is
that now whenever I try to access my old pages, it prompts for a username
and password for that server. I want it to allow anonymous web requests from
this server. (Anonymous is checked off under web properties already). If I
click cancel on the Username and Password prompt, I see this...

All,
I am trying to add some .net applications I wrote to a virtual directory
underneath the sharepoint services web site. I am having some problems and
wondering if a) this is possible and/or recommended and b) if there is
another way. I want to add the projects under the sharepoint site as I want
authentication but do not want my users to have to login everytime they
access a net app from within the sharepoint site. Ideally, they...

What other changes are required to get the virtual directory use its own

Dear All,
I have written a program in sharepoint, in which will call a Web
Service of another Sharepoint portal server so that documents from
sharepoint portal server A can push document to Sharepoint portal
Server B whose domain is stood alone.
However, the program is unable to upload file over 2MB, when the file
size exceeds, timeout will occur! I have tried to make a change in the
web.config and machine.config of sharepoint portal...

sites in IIS. However when I browse to the main .aspx page I get an
error because it is referencing a web.config that belongs to sharepoint

web.config file?
The test web site contains the following in IIS:

Just a general comment coming from an .Net development background ignorant
of the Sharepoint stuff...
A client is using us in including Reporting Services (2005) into their
reporting tools. I'd like to have a central place for all the reports, where
the IT guys will then be allowed to configure users and set permissions on
the various reports. Does Sharepoint Portal do this sort of thing "out the
box", or should I just get on and develop...

Hi
We have some code that runs in a EventReceiver ItemAdded handler. The code
must be thread-safe since it is iterating a List to find the max number of a
column and assigns it + 1 to the Item that was added. If it was not
thread-safe, two items could get the same number (which must be unique).
So how do we garantee this in the event handler? Is locking on "this"
enough? I guess not since other types of Event Handlers could as well...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
