Cannot access asp.net website on other computers(clien ts)

1 New Member
Hi all,

I have hosted my website after build on iis6.0 which has been developed in

ASP.Net. I use virtual directory for mapping my site to url .

I have registered .net framework2.0 in IIS too. (aspnet_regiis. exe -i)

On my server machine I can access the site without any problem, but cannot

access it from other machines using same url :

i.e. http://abc/mysite/default.aspx

I have edit configuration settings also but couldnot resolve the problem.

Please tell me solution of this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Do you get an error? What address did you use locally? What are your configuration settings?

Hello I have an Access database that is used for a station computer. Now I want to update this database for a small network for about 4 computers (to share this database). I know that I can link an Access databse to a MySQL server. My question is: It is possible to use one of those for computers as a MySQL server then 4 computers will use 4 copies of this Access application to connect to the MySQL server to share data.

This email is semi-off topic; but documents a problem and the server-side solution when using MS Access as a client to many (all?) database servers. I decided to post the problem/solution because the MS Access error message is very misleading. For those of you creating applications using PostgreSQL with MS Access clients: PostgreSQL will allow bit fields to hold null values. I consider this to be valuable because a null boolean field...

After some basic research, I am still somewhat unclear on how Access would be used in a workgroup setting. Basically, we want to run 10 MS Access clients to access an MS Access database on a standalone PC running Windows XP Pro. Do we need SQL server or some other application running on this "server"? We need to have 1) multiple people accessing the database simultaneous (should be no concerns about who saves first)

Do I get more scalability if I split my database? The way I calculate things now, I'll be lucky to get 100,000 records in my Access 2003 mdb. Here some math: Max mdb/mde size = 2000 x 1024 = 2,048,000k Let's say on average each record in the database consumes 15k 2,048,000/15 = 136,533 records

I work in the parts department of a new car dealership. We ar frequently asked by customers for fluid capacities and types of thei vehicles. Unfortunately this information is not in our parts catalog so we must obtain the information from service manuals in the servic department. I had the bright idea to gather this information and pu it in a database, so I purchased Access. I have studied som information regarding relational databases...

Hi, I have a web service that returns an object, call it myReturn, which contains information regarding payments, etc.... I have a new specification, to add a new property to myReturn to handle some extra calculations (ie. for amortization). However, I have existing clients with proxies based on the old object definition. How can I make sure that adding this extra data being sent back doesnt cause the old clients to blow up?

Hello - I'm running PG 8.1 on Windows XP. I've installed the server to run as a service. The psql command fails to connect to the server, although I can connect with other clients. When I enter psql -d mydb -h localhost -U admin I get the following response: psql: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting

I need to do some lookups and updates on some legacy Access 2.0 files (they've from another vendor and I'm not in a position to update them). I was successful using VB6, but I've moved on to VS 2005 and ADO and having some serious problems. Here's the scenario: 2 people have the same Access 2.0 databases running in the Access 2.0 application.

Hello everyone, I'm setting up an Intranet messenger on our computers in the office to let everyone talk quickly. The application uses UDP broadcasts to discover who is online. Internally this works just great. The problem is with VPN clients. I've tried using both OpenVPN and Microsoft's VPN services. They can connect, get an IP and connect to every device in the network, but the UDP packets don't seem to make it to any of the other...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
