Mac IE and input height probs...

Please try this out on a PC and a Mac in IE:
http://www.neave.com/test.php

The boxes should be both the same height, and evenly spaced top and
bottom above the text. Mac IE, for some reason, cannot accept a height
attribute for input boxes.

Does anyone know of a workaround?

All the usual problems that you should solve before asking questions here.

1. validate your pages (you'll find that you need a dtd)

2. don't use pixels to specify font size, for all the reasons dicussed

Likely reason: It follows the spec. IE/Mac conforms to specs much
more than IE/Win.

AFAICS, the input element cannot have height set.

Perhaps line-height (untested).

On my forms, input[text] and buttons are scaled to the font size.
What are you trying to accomplish, btw?

I have just read a thread which stated that input box is a replaced inline
box and therefore it has intrinsic values for height and width
