Hello - new to the board and wondering if anyone can help with this. I have a site developed with the CMS ModX.
It has a CSS UL list menu on the left hand side that needs to have roll-overs and a way to show location.
The solid background colour, is to indicate which page the visitor is on, works fine with Firefox - but doesn't work with IE 6 and for the life of me I can't figure out where in the CSS I've gone wrong.
At the moment I'm testing on the Utility section;
http://emc2.site4test.co.uk/index.php?q=accessibility.html
for the menu on the left
The CSS
Overall - http://emc2.site4test.co.uk/css/emc_our.css
Then for the menu
http://emc2.site4test.co.uk/css/flyout_footer.css
http://emc2.site4test.co.uk/css/flyout_footerie.css
I've used the CMS to add a class tag (active) to the relevant list item to indicate it is the live page
and therefore to format this class this I have added
.menu ul li.active a {color:#fff; background:#CC3333;}
.menu ul li.here a{color:#fff; background:#CC3333;}
to both flyout css sheets.
And still it only works in Firefox.
Any help would be appreciated, I've spent a day on this already, and it's stumped two forums so far.
