Page counter question

Is there a way to track the number of hits to a certain page, where you
have no access to the actual page itself, to the source code?

My example is, I just posted a fifth-wheel camper for sale on a site
that sells RV's. There is no counter available. But I want to know if
people, how many people, are actually seeing the ad.

As you can see, I have no access to this site and never will.

You would need access to the server logs.

No. Not unless the site owner gives you a tool to do so.

even if you did it wouldn't help, because server logs can't give what
you're after, at least nothing conclusive (in so far as anything is).
they log facts about the server (e.g. its load) not facts about users'
minds!

yet people do draw all manner of inferences from them, and here's a rant
