I get the same result by digitally signing my files with PGP,
getting a detached signature file. Then I submit a copy of the
signature file to a time-stamping service, which signs it and
returns another signature file. This is all free.

I use PGP Digital Timestamping Service (also called "Stamper"), but
others are available.
