Differences in stylesheet interpretation between IE and Netscape

Hi!

I have the following page in IE6 -
http://www.geocities.com/emmaruthuk/test/test3.htm . However, when
viewed in netscape 4.74, netscape 7.1 and Mozilla 1.6, the background
colour doesn't cover the whole page.

The link to the stylesheet is
http://www.geocities.com/emmaruthuk/test/sdl1.css

If anyone can suggest anything I'd be greatful.

Hi Emma!

Your CSS should look something like this if you would like to have the
background all blue:

body {
margin: 0;
height: 100%;
background-color: #a0c4e8;
color: #1D2F68;
}

Add 'padding: 0;' as well.

Thanks for the help - I figured out some of it by myself, but the
padding I hadn't got.

What's considered to be the definitive version of a "good font settings" style sheet? That is, one which allows nearly all modern browsers, and Netscape 4, to get readable text. The basis of this is at http://www.alistapart.com/stories/sizematters/ -- the column "Size Matters" by Todd Fahrner. The concept, as I understand it, is set...

Hi, Thanks for the excellent answer to my last question! One more: Does anyone have a method they follow for organizing stylesheets themselves? They seem like they can get bloated and hard to read. Aside from putting all the "h1" rules together, I haven't thought of any way to do it, if it's necessary at all. J.
