Strange layout behaviour with Mozilla

dear group,

i made a template with css at
http://tomasio.laudatio.com/jobs/Cla..._template.html.

the according stylesheet is to be found at
http://tomasio.laudatio.com/jobs/Claudia/stylesheet.css

but it differs in two instances from the original screendesign which
can be compared with the website at
http://tomasio.laudatio.com/jobs/Cla...b_template.jpg.

What is wrong:
1) a)In IE 6 (dunno about the other versions) the bullets for the
Exhibition Links (top right in the navigation section) have correct
distance to their corresponding list items, but the bullets are
misplaced vertically (you get an idea comparing the website with the
screenshot).

b) With Mozilla the bullets are to far away from their corresponding
list items.

2) Second, i want the "margins" (div.bgTextboxR ight,
div.bgTextboxLe ft) and the content of the textbox (div.TextBox) to
stretch till the bottom of the browser-window. In the moment I achieve
this with the clumsy approach of giving the "margins" 90% height.

Thats it. If anybody has suggestions, i will be thankful.

kind regards,
tomasio

Hi all Are there any good solutions to aligning form field names and input boxes without resorting to tables? I am struggling to do this nicely at the moment. Thanks Ciao Zak

From http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/javascript/synd/2002/03/01/css_layout.html "Typically CSS layout replaces tables, which are currently the most popular method of placing page elements. There is a common misconception that CSS layout techniques are incapable of producing complex page layouts. While it is true that *tables generally provide more flexibility*, I will show you that complex layouts are quite possible with CSS." No,...

I would be grateful for recommendations for a CSS layout (header, 2 cols, footer) that can accomodate dynamically added elements. I am not having any luck so far getting this to work in Mozilla/Firefox. Success so far only with IE. In Mozilla/Firefox, the layout does not adjust when nodes are inserted into the document dynamically. Layout: H E A D E R COL1 COL2

I have a very odd problem that has boggled my head. I've been trying to get a 2 column layout working with CSS. The problem seems to occur with the use of the <script> tag in the document, not the CSS. I've been reworking the CSS to use percentages rather than fixed widths. I'd like a two column page with header, footer, main body -with sidebar. I'd like the sidebar to have a fixed size and the mainbody to follow the browser window size...

Hy; I converted the tables (for _tabular_ :) data) in a project from the plain <table><tr><td></td></tr></table> structure to seperation into head/foot/body divisions (not the <div>-element). Now I get a strange behaviour in FireFox not obeying the given sizes anymore, but not in all cases. It seems that when there are elements with explicit 100%s within tbody-cells they hijack the table-sizes. I mean I would understand that when I...

I am trying to build a page with a header, 2 columns in the middle and a footer. The left column contains the menu, the right column the real content. Instead of giving the content column a left margin with the width of the menu, i am giving the content column a border with the width of the menu. (This makes life easier for me in the case that the menu column is higher than the content column). This solution works fine in all browsers i...

James Kanze <james.kanze@gmail.comwrote: COM does rely on vtable layout. COM interfaces are declared as pure virtual classes, all methods using stdcall convention, and this works because most (if not all) C++ compilers for the MSW use a very similar vtable layout. In COM, this is handled by proxies provided by system dlls,

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
