As you probably know, when you click on a link in MSIE and go to a page,
then when you click the "back" button, you see a dotted box outlining the
link on which I just clicked.
As far as I'm aware, no versions of Opera support this desired capability
natively, so I've experimented, as best I could, with using a custom CSS
file which contains the following:

Thanks to the people who helped me with centering a block of text in
MSIE 5.5 in the site I am developing at
http://www.members.iinet.net.au/~abell1/test/index.htm with city.css
at http://www.members.iinet.net.au/~abell1/test/city.css. I think I
have that under control now, though I won't be able to test it until
Monday.
But the recommended technique of enclosing the block in a div or p
with text-align:centre and using text-align: left...

Shame on me for not testing my site http://www.tsmchughs.com/ in MSIE
at "larger" font size. I just did today, and found an unpleasant
result. The content gets pushed behind the navigation, which has
position: absolute.
There's a second problem which is merely cosmetic. The width of
headings in a secondary navigation are not taking the full width of
the containing block.
Here's a simplified test case, with both problems detailed.

I´m trying to implement a:hover popup images like Eric Meyer did at
<http://meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/popups/demo2.html>. My take is at
<http://www.cafecopan.com/dev/20050523/>. Mozilla 1.6 and Opera 7.53
display as intended: upon hovering over the text on the right, a
corresponding image pops up on the left, covering the default image. MSIE,
however, places the images on the right, over the text. Does anyone have
any idea what I am doing...

I'm trying to use the hover pseudo-attribute to display footnotes in
documentation. The footnotetext is hidden until you hover over the
footnotemark. This work well in Safari and Firefox, but I can't seem
to get it to work in MSIE. Is this even possible in MSIE? If so, can
you explain why this CSS doesn't work?
