Flowing text into columns in Dreaweaver CS4

1 New Member
I have a number of articles of different lengths which I wish to put into columns (5)

My idea is if I keep placing an article at the beginning, those below will automatically feed into the other columns to the right (until full).

I am using Dreamweaver CS4.

I'm trying to set a document in two columns using fop (0.20.5). Unfortunately, when the two columns do not have exactly the same amount of material, the baselines of the first lines of the two columns do not align. They can be as much as 1.5 lines off. fop does not seem to have implemented .minimum and .maximum (or ..conditionality or .precedence) in space-before and space-after, so the vertical spaces in the columns are constant rather...

I would like to have a multi column layout that flows text from one column to the next, specifically lists. I believe you can do this type of thing in ms word, for example. There, you set your page for multiple columns. Then, if you insert a page break, you pick up in the next column. I would like to insert a break and end up in the next column. Thoughts? Thanks, -Kelly

Hello all. I have been given mock-ups (in static HTML) of some pages for a site I am working on. The client would like these pages to look exactly as they do now. The problem is that the content is dynamic, it comes from a database. My question -- with CSS (because with HTML tables I don't think it's possible) how can I make my text "flow" in two columns? eg. If there are 100 lines of content, I would like 50 to be in the 1st column, and...

I want to flow text in an "irregular" column on the left and place a large image at the top of an "irregular" column to the right. Then after the bottom of the large image I want the text column on the left to expand part way to the right, but not all the way to the right, as I want a smaller image on the right. Then this will continue to the bottom of the page. The text needs to flow down in the left column. And the right edge of the...

I've seen a page using display, and especially display table that did some neat things with boxes, but basically it only worked with Mozilla browsers. Fell over fairly badly with Opera and Safari (I don't have IE, but I have my suspicions that wouldn't work either). I'd like to use CSS to put some boxes down the middle of a page. The page is intended to be fluid, but the boxes all need to be the same width, which can be variable...

I want to copy the content the content of the text field into the nvarchar field. I tried convert and cast but after the update there are only 255 chars in the nvarchar field.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
