I'm new to ASP, but I've been programming in VB for
several years, and I'm having a few issues with this ASP
enhancement I'm working on. I've found ASP to be a lot
different than what I'm use to in VB.
I've created an ASP interface where a user can select an
email group that populates a listbox with those email
addresses. If a user sees an email in that list that they
do not want then they can remove it by clinking the Delete
button...

I have, as it might be, this in a frame:
<a href="mystuff.html">Click here</a>
When I click the link, it loads mystuff.html into the frame, whereas
what I want is to replace the whole window contents. How can I do this
while still using a link? What I want in effect is for clicking to do:
top.location.href = "mystuff.html"

Linking to a Targeted Browser Window
I'd like to open reference links to other web sites in a
separate browser window from the browser window hosting my
own web site pages. The Link Target reserve word "_blank"
opens a blank new browser window for every link, which can
sometimes result in a lot of open browser windows.
Is there no way to "reuse" a previously linked browser
window and have it load the new web page in Foreground

Hi,
Every JavaScript executive context has a top-level window and
we can use window.open() to open another window ...
Does this related to Windows created by click on "File"->"New Window"
or "File" -"New Tab" in browser's menu bar ?
I think window created by "File"->"New Window" and "File"->"New Tab"
are independent to each other from JavaScript's point of view. Is this
correct ?

Hi,
In the first start page, I use JavaScript window.open to open a new
ASP IE
window that is used to display real-time stock price and refresh each
10 seconds.
The problem is when ASP server restart, the real-time page will
display "... cannot display the webpage" and cannot back to normal
page automatically.

"about:blank" oepns new browser window
I am writing a webpage that will run on other machines that I may or
may not know about. My page is framed where frame1 controls the
content of frame2.
What I have found is that if the page in Frame2 fails to load and I
get an error page. when I detect an error page I want to set
frame2.location.href = "about:blank" and then write a temp error page
until the server becomes available again. The...

Hi,
I want to execute a javascript in my xslt file.
that does the following!
this script launches a popup
window without the Windows frame or titlebar
(that is, a "containerless" window). In other
browsers, it launches a standard popup window.
Position, width, and height are settable.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
