resolution-independent homepage help

hi all,
I am sorry for the post first for it's a very popular question here.
However, I have seen thousand of post here but no one can tell me HOW
TO MAKE A HOMEPAGE RESOLUTION-INDEPENDENT. I have ever visited some
homepage which is resolution-independent but I don't know how the
author make it.

Resolution is irrelevant, its window size that counts.

Webpages automatically flow to fit the window... _unless_ the author does
something to stop it (usually by specifying a width for something in
pixels).

As David said: "Resolution is irrelevant, its window size that counts."

As a sample, see this page, and vary your browser window size, your font
size, and whatever else you care to change [even resolution].

Doesn't look good at all when viewed fullscreen, 1024x768,
Mozilla, and a text zoom of 1519% ;-)

Fundamentally it's not really difficult: just avoid fixing sizes as much
as possible. I cover the basics here:

http://www.xs4all.nl/~sbpoley/webmat...lexdesign.html
You can probably go straight to
http://www.xs4all.nl/~sbpoley/webmat...esign.html#how

And if you want to also resize images in order to handle a wide range of
window widths, I have a little experiment here:

Hi group. I'm going to display a low resolution image in an HTML page. On the web server, I have a high resolution version of that image. If I display the high resolution image in the browser for the visitor to print, won't the DPI of the image be reduced to 72 dpi and lose resolution when the visitor goes to print the image? If this is wrong, please let me know. If this is correct, is there a way in JavaScript to be able to send the...

First, we rely on a stable update rate so that our physics and dynamics calculations and integrations are based on a known interval and therefore are true-to-life. Second, the graphics positions in our image generators are updated by this dynamics application, and we need to update them at the rate they are being refreshed so that we don't get any stutter from frames being used twice or having to be thrown out. Without microsecond...

I am wondering how (if it is possible of course) I can change a users screen resolution to a certain size when running my application and then change it back when they exit my application. For instance, if the users screen size is 800x600, I want the resolution to change to 1260x780 when running my program and then change back to 800x600 when exiting my program. Thanks, Darian

In today's market, what's a good screen resolution that I can pretty much count on as being the minimum? This is kind of a 'fuzzy' question in that I'm interested in the biggest screen resolution that I can be pretty sure most people who buy a computer today (within the last year or two) will have a graphic card that supports it. For example, is 1024 x 768 x 32bits pretty much supported on most PC computers today?

I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
