Hello all!
I been trying to get a handle with Images. I have learned alot from the fine
people here. So, I also learned that thumbnail images look terrible taken
from a digital cam. I know why they look bad. So what is the best way to
resize an image. I'm not too concerned about size, but I guess I would like
to compress it on the upload.
Any thoughts?

I have some img tags on a master page which reference files in a top-level directory. They look like this:
<img src="assets/test.gif" id="gnr" />
assets is a subdirectory of the website root.
My problem is this: this kind of path reference in a master page won't work when the page using the master is not in the root
folder:
root_page.aspx <- if this uses the master, the image file will be located and displayed correctly

I hope I can explain this well enough to understand. I have a master page
that is used by almost all of the pages in my site. On the master page is a
table. In one of the cells in this table, I have set the background to
display an image that is located in a directory called "images" which is
just off the root directory. Here's the problem:
Any page that is not located in the root directory (where the master page is
located) cannot...

Howdy,
I have my master page, and I would like to change the background CSS class
per the content page. Only the home page has a different background style,
all other pages are using the same. I know I can create a new master page,
but I'd like to just change the master page from the content page if
possible.
thanks!

Hi,
I have done a fair amount of style editing inline in ASP. I'm now
using VS 2005 with a standard web project (not Web Application
Project). This is my first foray into CSS in a style sheet and also my
first true attempt at using master pages. I tried setting up a style
sheet with a simple setting to float an image to the right and it had
no effect on the image.
Then, I tried putting the style code in my ASPX file as such,

Hi All,
Newbie here again.
I have a master page setup that is a two-column table. The left is a table
of contents, the right the target. I want the left column to always take up
100% of the height of the browser (or, to put it another way, I want the
content to take up 100% of the right column if it is smaller than the
height). Is there a way to do that?

I have a problem when using a Master page file in diferent aspx files. Some
of this aspx are in different places. I have see that the problem is with
styles definition on master file, when use "background-image". In some aspx
files this background image are lost.
for example:
background-image:url('../App_Themes/images/image2.gif ');
Any solution for this?

I can use a good help here with what looks like a simple problem.
I have a control called Header.ascx in /Control/System directory, where / is
my web application directory.
The header is used in a master page called MasterPage.master in the /
directory.
I have a Default.aspx in / which uses the master page in the root. The user
control (which is really in the master page) in this page shows fine.

Hi,
I'm a newbie to the Master page. When i drag an image directly onto the
master page from say my image folder, it is reflected in all pages which use
it, however, if I drag a table, layout, image control etc onto the master
page, I don't see these added to any of the pages that is using the Master
page as a template even after I save & rebuild.
Is this expected bahaviour & if so, how do I set up say, menus using a
layout or table &...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
