Hi all
Lately I've been trying to compile pyXPCOM on my windows machine. But
I've successfully compiled mozilla without pyXPCOM but when I adds the
pyXPCOM module the build fails with this message:
Error message:
d:/test\moz\mozilla\extensions\python\xpcom\src\VariantUtils.cpp(1151) :
error C2668: 'nsString::nsString' : ambiguous call to overloaded function

Does anyone else have a problem with the Mozilla browser not expanding a
multi-line textbox to its proper size? My textboxes are all small and do not
display mu;tiple lines in Mozilla or Netscape but are ok in Internet
Explorer. Is there a reason for this and can it be fixed?

hi,
i am using regexp.index in my javascript, IE supports this value but
mozilla gives undefined value for regexp.index. Is there any equivalent
method we can use for mozilla browsers.

As a side note to me previous post, I thought I might post about how ASP.Net
does not detect the mozilla browser correctly. This means that archaic html
is used and some things are not even printed (like the client side
validation scripts). To fix this, find the browsercaps section in your
machine.config file and add the following somewhere in there:
<case match="^Mozilla/5\.0 \(+;+;+;+;...

image is not sized and left at its actualy size. Anyone know why? I
though asp.net works on any browswer.
<asp:imagebutton id="Image1" Runat="server" onclick="enteraccount"
height="90"
width="120" ImageUrl="images/account.gif" />

Hi,
i've created a simple web application and throw in some labels,
textboxes and requiredfield validators in there.
during my testing using different browsers, i've noticed that when i was
using Mozilla browsers(Firebird and Mozilla),
i've noticed that the validators are not being rendered in the page.
it's being rendered properly in IE.

I've been looking at the Mozilla source (1.8b1) and I thought that
there I might find definitions of the various client-side JavaScript
objects (e.g. history, navigator). Has anyone managed to find these
definitions in the Mozilla source code? Grepping for say "navigator"
in the mozilla/js directory (and subdirectories) returns only one
non-relevant match. I would like to see how these objects are
implemented in source-code

Hello all, I'm new to javascript--not too new to a few other
programming languages--and I need your help deciphering the Regexp in
the following string. Regular expresions are hard enough in Python, and
since I am new to javascript they are even harder. Well here's the
string, thanks for any and all help I receive.
document.URL.match(/^(.+?)(?:\?(?:(.*?)@)?(.+))?$/)

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
