how to use an opaque overlay for pop-up slidehsow

if you scroll down to the bottom of page then hit photos you get a pop-up slidehsow with an opaque overlay. As you can see the opaque overlay doesn't fill the entire screen. It only fills the original coordinates of the screen. I have seen sites where they combat this problem without excessive scrolling(i.e adding another opaque area to the bottom of the exisiting would make a huge scrollable area..i assume)

Any ideas?

Hi group, I'm playing with a little generic linked list/stack library, and have a little problem with the interface of the pop() function. If I used a struct like this it would be simple: struct node { struct node *next; void *data; };

Hi NG, I've read some time ago in this NG, that when you're writing a library it can be good practice to use an opaque type to point to your structures if the user doesn't need to modify the structure himself. This way the internal structure of the lib can be changed, and the lib can be recompiled, but the application using the lib doesn't need to be recompiled. But then there are two ways to define the opque type:

Hello to everybody, I'm trying to write a small program which is meant to interact with an sqlite database. My idea is to create once a database handler, which happens to be an opaque pointer (a pointer to a struct which is not defined anywhere, if I understood correctly). Now, if I had the possibility of instantiating a concrete struct, I would create a function like this: struct sqlite& myDb() {

Can anyone explain what's an opaque pointer and how it's implemented in C? I read about this concept in the book "C interfaces and implementations". Here's an example from the book (list.h - available from the website): #define T List_T

Is it possible to overlay a transparent watermark on an image - dynamically? I'd like the result to look like this example: <http://www.cycletourist.com/temp/photo.php> That is a bit of overkill, but you can see what I mean. The watermark image (a png image) is included separately below the photo. I tried using a class from phpclasses.org <http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/1580.html...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
