I'm looking for a simple way to insert an MP3 file in the body of an
HTML page. The code below works, but it doesn't validate due to the
embed tag. Is there a way to rewrite the code so that it will validate
as either valid HTML, or better yet, XHTML?
<script>
function EvalSound(sound obj) {
var thissound=docum ent.getElementB yId(soundobj);
thissound.Play( );
}
</script>
<embed src="MY_SOUND.m p3" autostart="Fals e" width="0" height="0"
id="sound1"
enablejavascrip t="true">
<form>
<input type="button" value="Play Sound" onClick="EvalSo und('sound1')">

It is liberating for you because it is so simple. It is great for users
because they or their browsers can then do what they want with it when
they want.

Amen brother. People who build pages with background music will be

The sheer crying shame of it all, comrade, is that this will tend to
wipe out all those who do not own the means of production. It is the
factory workers desperately trying to be heard above the clatter of the
machinery that tend to do most of the embedding. Their leaders also
might wish to make unwelcome noise in the big houses. I have seen these
leaders meet and plan, and I have seen their motto:
autostart="true "/autoloud:"veryl oud"

Thanks for the response, but the audio needs to be embedded on the
same page, it can't pop open another browser window.

What has "Consider <a href="thisSound .mp3">This sound</a>" got to do
with "... it can't pop open another browser window".

Dorayme, I'm quoting you. As far as I can tell, using the simple
method you suggested results in the user being taken to a different
page. I need the audio to play on the same page as the trigger, be it
a link or a button.

You can insert mp3 very easy without programming knowledge. Look at: http://longurl.net/InsertMP3.aspx This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

not sure if this is a PHP or HTML question. PHP sessions usually put a
"?" after the url and then the session number. Most validators choke
on the "?". What should I use instead? And where is the damn line? All
I can find is this:
; The separator used in PHP generated URLs to separate arguments.
; Default is "&".
;arg_separator.output = "&"

I'm trying to parse html documents from the web, using the HTMLParser
class of the HTMLParser module (python 2.3), but some web documents are
not fully valids. When the parser finds an invalid tag, he raises an
exception. Then it seems impossible to resume the parsing just after
where the exception was raised. I'd like to continue parsing an html
document even if an invalid tag was found. Is it possible to do this ?
Here is a little non...

Hi,
Is it just me or is it impossible to generate valid HTML code with
Visual Studio 2003 .net? I am specially thinking about the
DropDropList. When rendered it puts a language="javascript" attribute
in the select. That is one example of an invalid tag attribute.
What can I do to ensure valid html (preferable xhtml)?
_Can_ I do something?

Hello,
I am a complete and utter newbie at ASP.NET, so please forgive any
stupid questions ;-)
I am just trying to get my head around the whole web forms business, but
have run into a problem. I have been a web designer for many years and
have always made a specific point of writing HTML that is valid
according to W3C specifications. With web forms, the .NET framework
seems to generate some of the HTML, and what it generates is not...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
