advice about css problem

Hello all,
I am trying to develop a firefox toolbar and am facing a
problem with using css and would appreciate any pointers/advice about
how to fix it :-). I am a newbie to css.

A detailed commentary o the problem can be found at
http://groups.google.com/group/mozil...8e0a6092e1a27#

The thing is that I need to change an image dynamically on a firefox
toolbar depending on the reply I get from my server, red image or
green image etc.

in the css file I have

#JAAL-ResultButton[status="green"]{
list-style-image: url("chrome://sample/skin/green.png");
height: 28px;
width: 6px;

}

#JAAL-ResultButton[status="red"]{
list-style-image: url("chrome://sample/skin/red.png");
height: 28px;
width: 6px;

}

The problem is that when I use the status tag the toolbar does not
show any image at all. When I remove the status tag, the toolbar shows
a green star. Am I using the status tag correctly?

I am using the following javascript to dynamically change the
displayed image

if ( jaaldata.indexO f("green") == -1 )
alert('green not found');
else{
alert('green found at' +
jaaldata.indexO f("green") );
var jaalstar = document.getEle menById("JAAL-
ResultButton");
jaalstar.setAtt ribute( "status", "green" );
}

Any pointers/thoughts/comments?

I have a problem that I would like to get some advice on from other Pythonistas. I currently manage a (soon to be) open source project for displaying molecular graphics for a variety of different programs. To do this I need to draw pictures of the molecules, typically using OpenGL, and do some basic control, using some widget set. The code currently uses GTK, and runs on Macintosh OS X under Fink, and Linux. I would like to support the...

Hallo, I have to make a web application in Javascript/ASP for tenniscourt reservation (based on Access database). I would like to do everything with one page, because the user must be able to change his day, hour or tenniscourt choice before really reserving it . I tried like this: The first SELECT contains the date (next 30 days) and is filled dynamically. No problem. When the date is chosen (by clicking), the second SELECT must...

I am creating a online help desk for my office. I am attempting to cleanup my code and I was hoping for a little advice. I have 30 different categories of requests ranging from the desktop issues to application issues. I am using submit buttons on one version and a dropdown/list box on the other. Both work the same. All the items have the same name "cmdProblem". The value is then passed to another form. This all works great.

NOTE ALSO POSTED IN microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.aspnet.buildingcontrols I have solved most of my Server Control Collection property issues. I wrote an HTML page that describes all of the problems that I have encountered to date and the solutions (if any) that I found. http://users.adelphia.net/~brianpclab/ServerControlCollectionIssues.htm This page also has all of the source code in a compressed file that you are free to download...

Hi I'm a bit new to the designing of custom web page controls and using them in the properties designer window - need a little advice on a concept here. I have two properties in my control - one that is a server name, which when entered will populate a drop-down list for the second property. I know that to get a drop-down list I will either need my second

Hi there, I am stuck on a problem that relates to eCommerce sites, but isnt ASP.NET specific (sorry). The ecommerce site is working in the UK, and products will be sold in pounds stirling. However, should I be presenting the currency figure in the currency of the visitor? I want to keep the site simple to begin with, so if I choose to render localized currencies, I probably need to something similar with the content too. I was...

Hello, MSDN (amongst other places) is full of helpful advice on ways to do data access, but they all seem geared to wards enterprise applications. Maybe I'm in a minority, but I don't have those sorts of clients. Mine are all small businesses whose sites will never reach those sorts of scales. I deal with businesses whose sites get maybe a few hundred visitors per day (some not even that much) and get no more than ten orders per day....

I'm just recently come to work for an auto brokerage firm. My position involves performing mysterious rites, rituals and magick in order to get information out of their access database. This is due to the fact that the "designer" they hired had an unfortunate ability to tink around with a program far beyond her reach. She had no concept of any of the principles of database design, so what i'm left with is a junkpile. The only reason I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
