I want to write Web pages with PHP, HTML, MySQL and Javascript. I've been
wondering about what editor to use in my developement. I have linux so it
would have to run on linux. I am used to Windows so I am thinking that I
should use Quanta. But there are the emac and xmac and the vi editors. I am
not familiar with how those work, but would I be missing out on them if I
decide not to use them? Would they be better than Quanta or Bluefish?...

I'm using Quanta Plus 3.3.1 in Fedora Core 3 for my PHP editing, and
I'm having a problem having it save my program settings.
For example, I select "Show Line Numbers" and "Show Icon Border" and if
I close and reopen the program, they're gone. I've looked all around
for ways to save profile, or save settings, or the like and can't find
anything like that.
What am I missing?

I am using Quanta to do web development using PHP. I like it's upload
feature. However, when I upload a file, it doesn't overwrite the old
file, and it doesn't produce any error. It works fine if the file
doesn't exist.

Hello,
I am learning PHP5 in Fedora Linux. I use Quanta+ 3.5. I have written a
program that I would like to debug but I don't see Debug menu. Is it
possible to debug program somehow? I know that Eclipse PDT has debugging
but I prefer Quanta+ because it's fast. Is there any external debugger I
could use? If not, how can I find bugs? I have read about var_dump(). What
functions could I use?
