IE 6.0 goes crazy over simple Bulleted Rollover List (when contained in a sized div)

13 New Member
Hello - I created a simple Bulleted Rollover List from a Listamatic resource.

When I contain this list (in a DIV with a width), IE 6.0 goes crazy (makes a mess).
All other browsers act properly.

I've loaded my html/css so you can see. Hope someone can help. Thanks so much. Linda at Across the Universe.

I have been looking at a simple example of a scrolling text box (the one in the SAM book) as below: <script language="JavaScript"> var pos=100; function Scroll() { if (!document.getElementById) return; obj=document.getElementById("thetext"); pos -=1; if (pos < 0-obj.offsetHeight+130) return;

Why when I add a bulleted list to a page does it mess up the Navigation list on the left? These are the two pages: (one has a bulleted list the other does not and works fine) http://www.kingtree.ca/plant-solutions.shtml (has top green margin or something) http://www.kingtree.ca/tree-pruning.shtml (works OK)

I'm wrestling with CSS variations between Firefox and IE. I'm trying to create rollover buttons in a menu frame. It is working perfectly in Firefox but in IE only the first button is properly highlighted and linked. The second button, has only a partial "hit area" at the top of the image, although if you click the link, you can see the link border is properly place around the image. The rest of the buttons have no rolloever state or link...

I'm working with one of those vertical menus that use CSS and lists. The menu is contained with a DIV (DIV.1) with a height of 100% that's within an absolutely positioned DIV (DIV.2). DIV.1 has a background image at "left bottom". If I set a fixed height for the DIV.2 the image appears correctly but if, as I need to do, calculate/set the height of the DIV.2 on window load then the image doesn't appear till one of the menu items are...

I am asking this in javascript and not actionscript because I think the js portion more crucial. I have a viewable area in a SWFcalled box_mc on frame1 that is 300x100 until a rollOver event when it appears to become 300x274 because it has advanced to frame2 I want my actionscript to instruct a div that is 300x100pixels with overflow hidden to expand to a div that is 300x274 in response to the rollOver event. On rollOut I want my div to snap...

OK, so I have a blog. I downloaded the "theme" from somewhere and have edited a few areas to suit my needs. There are different font themes within the page theme. Long story short, my "Text Posts" are supposed to be in the font: Georgia, but they are showing up in "Times New Roman"...blah! I can't find anything wrong in the code, but who am I trying to fool? I know nothing about this stuff. The code is below. The parts that I *think*...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
