Perhaps not PHP specific, but:
Both http://www.bankofamerica.com/ and http://www.bankone.com/
have account login forms on their non-secure main pages.
How on earth are they accomplishing this?
Please enlighten me.

Hey, I have a question about how secure the following will be....
I want to have a login form that posts to itself, so when it loads it checks
if there is a username and password on the query list.
If there is not, it asks for one.
If there is, it checks to see if the information is valid.
If it is not valid, it deletes the attributes and calls itself again.

I am in need of some good advice ...
Goal: I need to automatically log users of my website into
a second website.
Obstacles: The second website requires I "post" a form
with specific field/value combinations before it will
execute and return a valid cookie/session. The solution
also needs to be secure and as transparent as possible.

What I am trying to do is as follows.
I have a page with 3 links, that direct the user to 3 different pages when selected after login.
So all link selections will first direct the user to a login page. Once the user logs in then they are directed to the appropriate link.
So for all 3 links they all go to a login page, but each link must pass information to the login in page, specifically the page to go to after login takes place.

I have posted a similar message in 2 other forums but got no response. I
have spent more hours than I can count researching this. Can anyone provide
some insight...?
Our ASP.Net application needs to transparently log a user on to a separate
secure web site (PHP - not controlled by us). We want to save the user the
step of typing in his username and password and having to press submit.
I could accomplish this by using the <form...

Sorry beginners question..
The following link http://www.schott-systeme.com/en/logintest.php is a
test secure login page for our customers.
Type in 123-456-BSE and login, and it returns a form for the customer
to check three typical bits of into, ie refno, name and email. This
works ok and code is below.

Hello,
I've got a .aspx page that passes login information to an .asp page
using a querystring. The problem is its not secure, the user can see
the login information right there and type in someone elses login
name. Is there another way to pass the variables?
Thanks,
Mike

Maybe someone could help me a little here.
On a project I am working on, we have some LDAP authentication to
Active Directory which allows users to login to our application - this
is fine. When accessing this application from off campus, they
routinely get this login window confused with the one they login to
Exchange Sever with for their email.
I am wondering if it is possible to setup some kind of button/link
that is displayed after...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
