Looks good in Firefox, but terrible in IE

2 New Member
I created this using notepad and was checking it in Firefox, but when i finished and checked it in IE it looks like crap. I even opened up Dreamweaver and it shows it looking great. I can't find what is causing it. I have double, triple checked to make sure that all my ", <, >, tr, td, etc. are opened and closed properly. Please can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Here is my code:

could I have a Link to the website that this is on if it is on a website?

PS: Why not take that <style> part and put it in a CSS file and have the page a lot shorter?

Update: Hope you dont mind uploaded it to my site to test it out and it looks nice, looks the same in IE as FF, infact it looks worse in FF then IE. What version of IE are you using?

The reason why I dont have a CSS file is because this is supposed to be able to be used as a HTML email. That is good to hear that it was looking fine in IE. The IE version I am using is IE7, and my firefox is version 2

Hi. I'm preparing polish version of Herbalife.com. I want to make xhtml compatible. Under this link: http://www.kredytomat.pl/hbl/ is a test verison of this page. In IE it looks ok. In FF left and right side doesn't fit perfect in height. In Opera the page is totally messed up. Is there a way to make it work with every browser? I have a problem with my website: http://www.eecs.tufts.edu/~pgoran01/abet/ I'm using tabbed menus, all of them pop up when you login. However, the interface looks good in firefox but when I open it in IE the background color of the subtab bar seems to stop halfway down and split through the subtab text. I got this CSS tab template somewhere on the web and I can't find it anymore. It seems that the CSS code I'm using it's working fine...

My website www.windsoraccess.co.uk looks different in IE to Firefox at the very top where my logo and wording is. In IE the gap surrounding the logo and wording is much less and looks absolutely fine compare to the view you get in Firefox. Elsewhere there is no problem with the layout it looks the same in both IE and Firefox. Any suggeestion would be welcome. Thanks in advance

A simple problem to see. I am not going to post code yet as I am not sure were it goes wrong. If you could have a look at the site, firstly with IE7 and then with Firefox. It looks good and everything works fine in IE7. In Firefox it's a disaster, it looks crap and the css menus dont work. As thread this unfolds I can include code. here is the site.

A few months ago I went to a web site that looked terrible in Firefox, but fine in IE and Opera. It turned out that because I had reset my default font size in Firefox to be larger, that my larger fonts messed up the alignment of the CSS elements on the web site. Why does this happen? More importantly, as a person using more and more CSS, how can CSS be

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
