Disable browser's text resizing functionality in code.

1 New Member
My issue is when I try to increase or decrease the text size of my page by navigating through
“View - > Text Size -> Increase /Decrease” it will change the entire page content.
But my requirement is like even though I try to do the “View - > Text Size -> Increase /Decrease” operation in either Firefox or IE.
My page should not get disturb, No change should occur in my page.
I am following W3 STANDARDS, so that I am using only 'div', not even a single table in my page I have used.

The size of the fields/text/image in my page should remain same even after when I perform the increase/decrease operation (View - > Text Size -> Increase /Decrease).

basically, if you want your page to stay static whenever a user tries to change th size... you need to use absolute sizes.

<div style="font-size:15px;">
HELLOWORLD
</div>

Here using px as oposed to the others makes the size fixed

This is only true for IE. Other browsers do not allow this limitation for accessability reasons.

Hi everyone, I have a problem trying to load an image without the image resizing itself to fit into the window. My simple javascript is as follows: function viewImage(filename) { features = "height=500, width=670, scrollbars=yes, resizable=yes"; photo = window.open(filename, "Preview", features); }

Is there any way to disable text selection in a web page (or at least render it invisible to the user)? If there is a way to control how selected text and its background are rendered, then the desired effect could be achieved by setting these parameters to match those of regular text. In this way, even if text was selected, the user would not see that it was. Thanks!

Hello Everyone, The problem of browser resizing has become an issue for me. While redesigning my webpage, I set the left and right margins to be auto so that my content would be centered. However, there are images that I used absolute positioning in order to place them in the appropriate location on my page. When I do a browser resize, these images do not move (obviously). However, the rest of my content is auto centered as...

Is there any way to disable the saved form information Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer presents in a list every time you type text in a form input, on a page you use every day? If so, what is the correct syntax for the CSS? Thanks.

During the last months I obeserved a growing number of web pages with popups inside a web page. I don't know the technique by which these in-page-windows are implemented (either Javascript or HTML?). They contain a "close" resp. "x" button/link to click them away. They are however not detectable by "normal" popup blockers. How can I otherwise turn these popup windows automatically (!) off otherwise? Marcus

I'm expiriencing a basic HTML appearance problem with ASP.NET. Following a couple of sample tags to ilustrate my problem: <asp:TextBox id="txtWidthIssue" runat="server" Width="100"></asp:TextBox> <asp:DropDownList id="ddlWidthIssue" runat="server" Width="100"></asp:DropDownList> Browser like Firefox and I'll imagine many others are not sizing correctly the controls (.net is removing the with property during the rendering). I tried...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
