Change from Java Menus to CSS & HTML

6 New Member
I'm still a struggling learner with my website (www.suppliersc an.com) as the dropdown menus don't work in IE7. I purchased the website already made and I am just about getting comfortable with HTML and do not know java at all.
I have founf lots of samples of CSS Dropdowns on the internet but I just can't get it right.
I want the menus to appear where they currently are but everything seems to get messy, see my test site (www.test.suppl ierscan.com).
Can anyone also help with regards to the space below the login box, this is only theer in IE7 and not with Firefox?

Any help to a struggling learner would be gratefully appreciated.

Why don't you just do a search for menus and modify one that is already out there. You probably don't want to re-invent the wheel. Try dynamicdrive.co m they have some nice menus.

Hi, I'm from a VB background but am having to learn Java for a new project we have at work. Can anyone suggest a decent way to learn it (and fairly fast). Will be using JBuilder 7, have a few manuals on my desk but basically have no idea where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I found this script for cascading menus, however, I cannot reach the author to solve the bug I am having when I add a second menu to it. My problem is this: If I click on the first link, the menu displays well. If I then click on the second link, the first menu from the first link still displays. How do I get make the first menu disappear when I click on the second and vice versa? Please help...thanks.

For the last couple of months I have been trying to get the next round of updates to the FAQ underway and been being thwarted by a heavy workload (the project I am working on has to be finished an QA tested for a new year release. I don't think that going to prove practical, but there is no harm in trying :) and some serious family commitments. But it has to be done soon so this is stage one. Mike Winter provided an extensive list of...

This has got to be obvious, but I can't make it work. I have a form called with 3 pull down menus. They are linked to a database which generates the values for the <SELECT? Pull-downs. Lets say I have values selected for all three pull down menus. When I change the first "top-level" menu I want to reset both the second and third menus to the "default" state.

Hi! I'm trying to let the end-user select the language of the menues I'm showing him. To do that I've got this Selector class that shows the end user a combo box, a label and a button. In the combo box the user selects the language (English,Spanish,French,..) and when he clicks in the button shows the label in the language selected. This works fine but it's just one form, I need to change the language of all the menues in an application, so...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
